Up for your consideration is this absolutely stunning 1971 Buick GS 455. Built at the Fremont, CA. facility and sold new at Walt Adams Buick in Glendale, AZ., this beautiful car received an award winning, frame off restoration by Dave Kleiner and Todd Ames at GS Enterprises. Finished in original Artic White with a black interior and top, the restoration was completed in 1990 accumulating just 2000 miles since and has rolled a mere 76k miles in its lifetime. The car retains its original motor, transmission, rear end and body panels. All panels are solid with no fillers or repairs. Panel gaps are near perfect. The doors open and close effortlessly. One of just 1,378 GS 455 automatics produced for the model year. Options include the much desired high performance 455, turbo hydramatic 400 transmission, positive traction differential, heavy duty suspension, full length console, bucket seats, air conditioning, sonomatic am/fm radio with rear speaker, power steering, power disc brakes, tilt rally steering wheel, tachometer, sport mirrors and soft ray tinted glass. When I purchased the car 3 years ago, I prepared the car for summer pleasure driving by replacing all of the hoses, belts, water pump, heater core, blower motor, battery, and fuel sending unit. The original radiator has been rebuilt, transmission and rear differential fluids have been changed. The air conditioner has been recharged as well. The tires have been replaced with OEM Goodyear Polyglas GT G60-15 on Buick Rally wheels. I have receipts for all of the work that I had completed. Factory documents include the original window sticker, build sheet and owners manual. Also included is a photo album of the restoration and 1st place award in the concours category at the 1990 Buick Nationals. This car has been well cared for and it shows. Hello Mike, I do not have the complete ownership history. The previous owner from Mansfield, Oh had the car in his collection for 8 years. When I purchased the car, he gave me a Texas title. Regards, Roy
Was at a dealer in Utah in 2011. Some nice photos here . https://rods-classics.com/content/1971-buick-gs455 .
I met Butch years ago, he helped me polish, some stainless trim. Super nice guy that does remind me of his car.
