I'm still looking for my dad's 67 SS396 Chevelle that was stolen in Detroit many years ago. Lots of crooks out there....
I remember parking near a yellow GSX when I was at the USMA Michigan Nationals at the fairgrounds in 1983. The owner told me that the car was originally white but preferred yellow. Tim
Not sure if you still have the VIN or of you're on Facebook but there's a page called Lost Musclecars that legit finds about 2 cars a week that people have previously owned. It's crazy!
That’s where I met him as well, he gave me some information and we exchanged numbers. I ended up buying some GSX parts from him over the years and we became good friends.
Without getting into the details, negotiations are in process regarding this car. I don’t think that there is a legal matter here any longer. We will see.
The car is now languishing in a salvage yard back in Detroit. I suppose there will be a legal battle now. I'm waiting until they put a price tag on it after all the details are settled. There's a whole bunch of storage due on the car. More than it's worth probably at this point. I wait to see what they tell me next.
This is NOT the news we want to hear. I really hope somehow you can get this car Darren. This thing needs a good home.
How is it that the car is still being moved around and "hidden" all the while the widow and or you hold the original title and have mountains of proof the car belongs to her/you and not to the people who illegally sold and bought it?? Why are the cops not doing anything about this? I would have someone go hide an airtag in the car so if they try to move it again you know where it is.
