I have had this thing for a LONG time and each time I come across it I thought “Okay, someone had to save this NOS housing for something important “ In all those years I never noticed the tape on the back lip written “August 5th 70” So this thing marked right (I have no part # books)? Kinda cool if it is
The 'OH5' stamp below the part number is the date code 0= 1970 (or 1980) H= August 5= 5th You'll have to lookup the 1100931 part number to determine if it's correct for your application. It should be shown in the Chassis manual. BTW, anyone have an online source for the applications of a given pn? The Buick/GM parts books don't go by the stamped number in the housing.
1100931 comes up as a 1971 Buick 55 Amp Alternator, which makes sense as an 0H5 date code would make this a very early 1971 alt. Duane
Thanks Duane, We’ll strike that one off the win list today but still found a lot of stuff I have been digging and digging for. MAIN thing I found was my cars FLOOR!
That was an in the box new 1960’s lava lamp (think I still have one down in the barn). The new ones aren’t near as cool as the real old school ones (or now known as “Dangerous ones” if you forget to pull the plug Love my lamp though : )
I almost edited that out but decided to give you the true Fritzy heh heh And yes it is true that is the RR’s eep eep horn I never got to install in my 1969 440 road runner with air grabber hood. Dark green vinyl top, dark green bench seat auto on column with the factory roll dial radio. I eventually smarted up and got “a whole” $2200 for it (got conned $800 for trusting the guy to work off the $800.Nope). Anyhow so it’s true for a short period I had a very cool (to me) Road Runner
Thanks man, it was so underwhelming color wise I put black steeliest on it with ventilated police hub caps. Miss that car and my buddy (R.I.P. Dan the man) who hooked me up with it. I only had $1100 in the car. Good ole days ya know?
