Hello everyone Probably a bit hopeless here?! But I'm looking for a speedometer or just the dial with kilometer display for a 67 Skylark GS. Maybe someone from Canada can help. Thank you Emmanuel
looked for one for years was going to convert over so i had like a 160 mph speedo and had no luck. Apparently it was only in the cars overseas not even in the ca ones from what i can tell.
Canada only converted to metric in 1975. What you need is a speedometer from a Swiss or Belgian built Buick. So, since you're in Zürich, you are closer to the source compared to most board members. I had one from a Swiss built 1967 Skylark, over 15 years ago, and sold it to a board member in Wisconsin, he thought it would be cool to have a speedometer that showed 200. Two years ago I shipped a 200 kph speedometer from an Antwerp, Belgium built car to a board member from Canada for his 1966 Electra:
By the way: your board name is Emanuel Bader, but you sign off with Emmanuel (in this post and also in other posts), why is that?
I've only seen one km/h speedometer in a '67 A-body. This gentleman with a '67 GS400 lives in Paris, France. I would like to see a better picture of one of these 200 km/h speedometers.
I have a few photos of the 1967 speedometer that I sold somewhere. I can't remember the board name of the board member from Wisconsin.
Well, I'm already looking for one here for a while, there doesn't seem to be any here either, that's why I'm asking in this community, which is much larger than ours here. Emanuel
I was going to purchase the KPH speedometer that came up last year, but life intruded. I use a GPS to tell me my speed in KPH. I am usually fairly close before I look though.
If you're on about the speedometer I sold to Marc two years ago: ask him if he still has it, he sold the Electra and I never heard from him that he mounted it in the Electra or Wildcat.
Thank you. My wife put a kibosh on the idea anyways. As we all know, if the wife ain't happy, no one is happy!
