You are talking about the bit that is bolted to the intake that connects to the carb, right? I have one (maybe two) off of a 74 455 that I'm guessing will be the same. Though it will be used and rusty looking but it did work. As another option, have you considered converting to an electric choke?
Yes that’s the one. Sits on the intake and is connected to the carb via a small rod. I already have a rusty one so I’m after a decent one The part number for 1974 is different (7043191) so it’s probably not what I need. Thank you for writing though!
Got this one for 72. Should fit. Also have an NOS choke well housing listed. https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/nos-72-maybe-73-455-choke.378757/
Hi Fred, I did see your listing but it’s for a ‘72 455. I’m sure it will fit in my intake manifold but there are different part numbers for these divorced chokes for each year. 1972 was 7042190, 1973 was 7043190 and 1974 was 7043191. Then there were different part numbers again for Stage 1 variants. Do you know how they differed from each other and whether it will work in my 1973 455? Cheers, Glen
