Can anyone tell me the production numbers for 1972 Buick Skylark Suncoupes ? ? (Not GS) Thanks in advance !
Somewhere around 1600 or so I believe? Maybe, someone can chime in with an exact number. Low production to say the least and a very cool car!
They say all the production numbers were lost in a fire. But the most consistant number that I have heard is about 2700. The person to contact and has more information on the Suncoupe than I do is John Kemper (also a member of this board).
Actually, this is what I've heard from Andy Clark at the Sloan Museum. I'm sure if you called him, he can be more specific. Here is the 'jist' - Buick planned to move out of Flint MI, and the Flint cultural Society (Sloan Museum) told Buick that there is a history there and they would like to take care of their records for historical purposes. Buick said fine. Their records were in a warehouse (or office) and they told Sloan to take what they could because in 3 days they were destroying everything We're pretty lucky to at least have something...
