I recently picked up a 70 GS Stage 1 4spd convertible with 55k original miles. One of the 67 produced. I have not put it in the registry yet but I have gotten the Sloan docs to verify it. VIN is 446670H177937. It is Sherwood Green, Black bench seat,4spd, NO Air, white top(changed to a black top) . It does not have the original motor, it has an SF block. Correct intake and heads, wrong carb and distributor, motor just spun a bearing and was taken out for inspection and placed back in the engine compartment for shipping. The car needs a resto. It has a maaco paint job, not to insult any Maaco owners on the board. There is some bubbling here and there. You wont know how much till you take it down to metal. Back to the good stuff, It has the original 4spd trans ,rear and wheels. It has 55k original miles, the original interior shows the low miles. Here are the options per Sloan: A1 B3 CC DC F2 L2 P2 V7 W4 X2 *6 Color MM1 Trim 158 Sold New in Fredonia NY I would like to trade this for a 70 4spd Stage 1 GSX nice driver. Since I am obligated to post a price I will post $125k. Please give me a call at 203-445-0273 Steve or email me at crashklein@aol.com Thanks for the ad
The car is located in CT about 1 hour from Hartford. My asking price is the Stage 1 GSX but you are welcome to make an offer. Thanks, Steve
As I understand things a car offered for TRADE is not a car for sale. That's called swapping. Duane PS. The same thing would apply for parts, like swapping a 71 grill for a 72 grill.
There is nothing here that keeps him from a staight offer to trade. It does not happens so often but has happened in the past more with parts than with cars.
hey, I dont want to get out of subject here, but does GSXER own all of the 12 cars he has on his list at the same time???
No thanks Im planning on cashing out at the next BJ extravaganza. I do have a 70 Cuda convert clone for a trade ...more up your alley...do tell us about the red convert in your signature
Many of you will recognise the CrashKlein moniker from Hemmings. He pays a lot of money in every issue in the cars wanted section, for ads looking for W-30's Stage 1's etc. Obviously a flipper, but somehow he is able to pull a few of these things out of their hiding places. I like the fact that he believes the car is worth this much in it's present "needing complete restoration" condition, and that came here to try to make a deal. I am sure someone here can trade him a GSX "with the RIGHT motor, needing restoration" for it. Try him out, he's a wheeler dealer, and might make the trade. Welcome to the board. Dan
Hi Steve - Can I register this car with the information provided? All I need in addition to what you posted is the Fisher Body # and the cowl build date (although the invoice price/invoice date/dealer code would be great too). Also, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, can I get the same information for the red 4-speed in your signature? Thanks!
Thanks for the Welcome Dan. Yes I am a Flipper with the sickeness of spending my proceeds on Keepers. I didnt want to put all my keepers in my Sig because they are not all Buicks. Hi Marco, I thought of your Stage 1 rag when this one popped up. Here is the info for the registry: Body # 098636 invoice date 11/26 Zone/ Dealer 05-173 invoice # 4B-317005 Invioce amount $ 3535.18 order # ESR952
I noticed that you own a 70 stage 1 convertible (stratomist blue). I bought a 4 sp stratomist blue convertible new (Deane Buick in Denver) and I wondered if it could be the same car. Sneezer
