Did I hear my name used in vane???? :bla: :bla: :bla:

As Buffalo Bob said, "I'm alive and well.......enjoying all the twisted attention as the solitary

Yep, now alive and well and very busy with projects since it's spring and races are coming up.

Going to try to come around more and say hello and stir up stuff a little more often (if you guys will let me)!!!!

I know who Buffalo Bob is!!!! :idea2:

Hey Annie....are you going to be at BG this year?????

Dunno, the pot seems to get stirred well enough when you aren't around....

BG? No way. Too many great races close to home: Norwalk, Martin, Midwest Challenge, Pure Stock.....maybe Muncie? Lots of car events around home, no need for the traveling.

Besides, I have a feeling I'll spend a good amount of time in surgery again soon.....:spank:

Sorry to hear you won't make BG and may have to have some more surgery.

    HUH?????

I get it, but how does a King Kam I quote prevail here?

Kamehameha, him great warrior. him always prevail.

Gotta get my bionic arm repaired first. Did too much, broke it out of the bone. :af:

huh. maybe boyfriends aren't all they're cracked up to be. :spank:

on a somewhat more serious note, i hope the surgery goes well. let's have no more flare ups of your staph, hey?

i'll bet a flame thrower on your arm would be a most excellent complement to your machine gun leg.

    Fire! Fire! FFIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRREEEE!!! huhuhuhuhuhuh.

Sorry there aren't any females wanting to play, Bob.

that's a fairly big surprise to me but somehow i think it might be even a bigger surprise to Dee. :moonu:

Legend has it, if you say it 3 times while looking into a mirror, bad things will happen.

hell, bad things happen to me just looking into a mirror. i don't need to be bringing you into this.

what with going back to driving my weight is edging back up towards 200 ... i don't need a badonk-a-donk gut any more than i need a badonk-a-donk butt.

otoh, it makes me feel guilty to play "200 lbs of Pure Love" when i don't actually weigh 200. false advertising and all that, dontcha know.

Did I hear my name used in vane????

hi Dee. nice of you to finally drop back in again. "blowing in the wind" must take a lot of time. :bla:

i'm sure Steve-o will feel a lot better now.

huh. maybe boyfriends aren't all they're cracked up to be.

Not really sure what boyfriends have to do with the fact that the ulnar stem of my elbow prothesis broke free of what is left of my ulna?? :Do No:

Much more likely to do with my lifting of 50 lb bales of hay, climbing on/off the tractor, lifting saddles, etc, etc. That 5-10 lb restriction I was given was just a suggestion, right?

on a somewhat more serious note, i hope the surgery goes well. let's have no more flare ups of your staph, hey?

Once they decide what to do with it, maybe something will happen. One route involves donor bone, grafting, reattaching of the prothesis, and a very high risk of infection - along with the same impossible lifting restrictions. The other is a complete elbow fusion at 80 or 90 degrees - low risk of infection, some loss of pronation/supination, but a very strong joint for lifting and pushing. Oh, sorry to go all technical.... I just sit and wait and listen to the weird grinding, snapping, popping noises from my arm.

i'll bet a flame thrower on your arm would be a most excellent complement to your machine gun leg.

If the staph comes back and they have to amputate my arm (a very real possibility if the infection cannot be thwarted), I'll be sure to look into the flame thrower option. :TU:

(sorry, but after all this....I find it nearly impossible to have much sympathy for all the weenies in the vasectomy thread)

So, "Bob", you're on the road again? Is Willie with you?

you're forgetting the positively indecent possible applications of a bionic elbow implyed in the previous thread. how convenient that Dee got rid of the evidence. :Brow:

complete elbow fusion at 80 or 90 degrees - low risk of infection, some loss of pronation/supination

some loss? i would have thought that a joint fusion would result in total loss of flexion. but hey, iinad, whadoiknow?

So, "Bob", you're on the road again? Is Willie with you?

[bob thinks to self "hmmmm, just how much of a sick twisted freak IS Annie]

sorry Annie, i'm not sure i'm picking up on what you're trying to brainwave me. are you throwing my Clinton ref back at me or what?

"Sick Willie", hah, that would be funny. er, IS funny.

(sorry, but after all this....I find it nearly impossible to have much sympathy for all the weenies in the vasectomy thread)

nice, very nice. i haven't even peeked into the aforementioned thread but the evidence suggests you really are a sick twisted freak. you're going to have to work harder to catch Truzi though. :spank: :bla:

just got done clearing out the Tivo and i've got two observations:

    1. House is the best damn show on television. best thing i've seen in a long time, anywhere, period.

    2. John Force IS House ... with 25% of the brain cells and 600% of the cursing. i think it's bred true to his daughters as well. :Dou:

some loss? i would have thought that a joint fusion would result in total loss of flexion. but hey, iinad, whadoiknow?

Sorry, Bob - I've been in physical therapy too long. With a fusion, there will be no more flexion/extension at the elbow. Pronation/supination is the process of flipping your palm up/down. That can be retained, depending how they fuse the radius. Fortunately- I have already lost most of that movement due to the severing of my ulnar nerve at the time of the accident. So, it's not a great loss to me.

sorry Annie, i'm not sure i'm picking up on what you're trying to brainwave me. are you throwing my Clinton ref back at me or what?

Bob, you're making it way too complicated. "On the Road Again" = "Willie Nelson". I swear, have you fallen in with the conspiracy theorists? You are looking too far into the stuff I'm saying. I'm no MENSA member, so assume the simplest explanation is correct.

nice, very nice. i haven't even peeked into the aforementioned thread but the evidence suggests you really are a sick twisted freak. you're going to have to work harder to catch Truzi though. :spank: :bla:

Sick and twisted? Maybe. OR, more likely - cold hard b*tch with not much empathy for pansies anymore. I guess being in some sort of pain all the time, having to deal with all my problems and STILL have to accomplish as much or MORE than the average person in a day, and knowing the pre-op nurses by name just doesn't leave much empathy for grown men who might be slightly inconvenienced for 3 days (to get a result that ultimately benefits them?).

Catch Truzi? Ok, have to draw the line now. You've created some sort of competition fantasy in your mind. I'm not trying to compete with Truzi or Dee or whoever - you're the one insinuating it. My thoughts stand on their own, no need for comparison or contrast with others.

Bob, I think your truck needs to go back into the garage. I suspect there may be some exhaust seepage into the cab that is slowly degrading your reasoning abilities.

Annie...I feel your pain & frustration..hope all works out- if you need help around the 'farm'- I'll send my nephew down from Gladwin and you can put him to work- he's kind of shiftless, but very useful for manual labor...

    Hey Annie,

Getting a little sidetracked from my original post, but I thought that I'd wish you well and all the best with your surgery, or whatever you wind up doing. I don't know all of the details, (as I have my own load of B.S. going on right now), but I can only imagine the difficulty you must be going through! I feel for you woman!!
Just remember to always hang in there, as you never really know what's around the corner! But then I'm sure you know all about that, as you sure seem quite astute!!

    Take care, Steve

Thanks for the well wishes Steve and "freak". I wasn't fishing for sympathy, sorry it came out that way. I'm actually not doing terribly bad. I just "keep on, keepin' on"!

Sorry to sidetrack your thread, but I'm blaming it on Bob!

Hey, Absolutly no problem here! Threads rarely stay "in tact" on this site, but that's what makes it interesting!

I know you weren't looking for sympathy, and that was not my intent. I'm just very happy to be able to give needed support were ever I can these days! (A little wisdom picked up by our local "D" durring my recent "life changing event"!)
I've been a Buick guy most all my life, and an active GSCA member since '84. I can assure you that if you need support, in any fashion, you'll be able to get it from the Buick community!!! It's the one real thing that makes the Buick people as a whole, stand out above all others, ..... the fact that they truly care and are there for you in time of need! (Of course, I'm refering to the Majority, not some of the seemingly extroverts on the board! lol) I certainly didn't go looking for sympathy in my situation either, but the amount of PM's, e-mails and phone calls that I recieved was just amazing! (One person in particular was VERY helpfull, but now I seem to be "unconnected" for some reason??? :Do No: )

So if you come to a point that you need help, even in support and encouragement, PLEASE ASK!!! We're here!!

    Take care, Steve

hunh, Willie Nelson. you'll find that those country music ref's will get me most every time.

    Where's the aloha?

Aloha! when we get everything sorted out you're invited to the group hug as well. :beers2:

Sorry to sidetrack your thread, but I'm blaming it on Bob!

general heads up on Private Messaging:
one of these recent changes Mike Bucy made has evidently set the default option such that everyone can ONLY recieve pm's from other people who are on your 'Buddy List'.

i don't know what's happening to pm's sent to someone who doesn't have you on their buddy list but i'll bump Mike about it.

this might explain certain difficulties make contact with other people.

currently there would be two solutions:
    1. add everyone you are remotely interested in to your 'Buddy List'
    2. disable the Buddy List lock under 'Edit Options' on the UserCP

Just havin' a cheesburger now! Got it in Mishicot at the "Roundup Bar"! How ironic is that? lol And you know, I am feeling just a little better right now!! Oh, wait,...I guess it could be the 4 or 5 beers that I had along with the cheeseburger! :beers2: :beers2: hahaha
