gas is part of it, just went by a couple of stations, they went up 20 cents, from 3.14,to 3.34. :eek2: makes premium for my car 3.54   :af: also, no trailer. soooooo, we'll hope for next year for now, I'll have to stay close to home with it,attend the usual 3 or 4 car shows near me this summer
Yeah that's about 120 miles from wichita, that's a pretty good drive:eek2: with the price of gas like it is now is really effecting a lot of business's like race tracks, camp sites, etc. etc. it sucks..........
yes,it is the ga$ price$ are affecting a lot of things, I bet attendance at car shows will be down too, so I'll go to the ones closest to Me, ones within a 25 mile radius maybe next year will be better
better next year..........o No: ........ I doubt it...... it's just all a bunch of B.S.........
yeah, I agree the oil companie$ have a license to steal a good friend of mine lives in Valley Center, maybe I could try and come visit him and then maybe sneak down and at least see the action.. I'll have to see what happens
yeah the owner of the race track is from valley center............ hope you can at least come down and spectate!!..:3gears: :3gears:
well I sure will try. local stations here , went down a whopping 7 cents (after going up 20) my friend lives right across the road from 81 speedway. he has a neat 12" gauge train that I always enjoy seeing what would the gate fee be? possible to get a pit pass, to hang with My buick friends??
I believe it is $10 to watch and the pits are open. You can go hang with any of the racers and check out the cars. :beers2: I'm doing some work to my Skylark to get it ready to race, but I am not sure if it will be ready for the Footbrake race or not. I hope to be able to race it at some of the local events this year. :3gears:
Yeah, I was there. It was my first time racing, and I loved it. I figured out that I needed to do some work on my car before I raced it again, but I didn't realize how much work I had to do. I have already replaced both the heads on my 455, because they were both cracked when I raced. That problem didn't show up until later, and the heads I put on it are just a temporary fix until I get my new engine built. I have some other things I want to do, but it should be good to go after I get the engine in. ray:
It's addictive isn't it......... think you will have it ready by june 30th?? :3gears: ..............:3gears: ................:3gears: .....................:beer ...........................
