Is Monza still rebuilding gm limited slip units, I bought one from him years ago and it worked great. Just wondered if I could get another off of him for a 2.73 gear set???? Josh 717-333-6855 joshten13@yahoo.com
And what 8.2 rear would this be? 2.73 in a 8.2 Buick would be the 68 69 70 rear. We have NEW units for that ratio If you have 2.78 that is the 8.2 Buick from 1964-1967 I will need to check the shelf for thaT...SLIM PICK'INS out there these days.... Jim J D
68 chevelle is the car... But what is the rear. Just because you have a chevelle does not mean that is the rear under the car. 40-45 years of humans tinkering on cars and beating them up. Send a photo of the rear then we know what your working on. Jim
Sorry Jim. It's definitely a 10 bolt in the 2.73 gear range, betting it would be an 8.2 and is probably original, I know the motor and transmission were original 68 Chevrolet 4 door 307 with powerglide
Ok The trouble here is getting the 2.73 posi unit. That is a 2 series and there are NO NEW ones available. Only reconditioned GM BUT I do not even have that. Power trax spartan Lunch box locker is the only other way to get posi and keep the ratio. PM I can price it out if you like. Jim
Jim, I have a friend that needs a 8.2 chev 2.56- 2.73 ring and pinion. It is for a old Merc that has a 70 Chevelle rear, non posi. by chance do you have one one. Thanks
