I have a 1970 Buick GSX with all original brake parts. I had the car aligned and the shop indicated the car pulled hard to the right and thought it had a collapsed brake line in the front. I replaced the calipers and hoses and still have very low flow on the left side of the car. My next step if to check the proportioning block and see if it has an issue. Any other suggestions on what might cause this issue? Mark
Is the metal brake line to the rubber hose in good shape? If original, I would be suspect the inside of that line may be partially clogged. At 113000 miles, I replaced all the original metal lines & hoses in 2001/2002 car restoration.
If you want to check that, bleed the system further up stream from the flexible brake hose and see if the pressure is better. Crack the line at the master and see what pressure you have.
The other side of the front had plenty of pressure so it did not appear to be the master cylinder or line to the proportioning block. I took off the hard line between the proportioning block and flexible line and blew it out. It did not seem to be clogged. I put it back together and bled both sides again. It seemed fine the second time around. I test drove the car and actually got the wheels to lock up in front with no pull to one side or the other. I believe it has been fixed. Not sure if it was something clogging the line or something that needed to be reset in the proportioning block but works now. Thanks for all the help. Mark
I hope you did not trade in your original calipers for core. I would keep them and have them rebuilt...
