I've seen those IMG,s left behind after an image was removed and a new one posted on an edit. When I tried to edit I could only see the image and not the code I posted.

It looks like DasRottweiler edited his post a few times.

Yeah Mike... the new system here is a tad "sensitive"... I try to make mine look like it was professionally edited (yeah, right!), with spacing in between pics so its not a "run-on" photo. Also if you go back and edit with a pic, the pic will be at the top of the text, and sometimes (depending on JPG size) the the text may actually start on the last line (screen bar) that the pic ended on. I love figgerin' out new and improved stuff! After all my text is finished, including signature, I double click "enter" a few times to separate (parse) the subject matter. ws

Note the space AFTER the pic before the text resumes... Failure to do this ads the first line of text next to the pic and looks like an amateur did the job. Heaven forbid!

This post, a few minutes later, is an attempt to replicate the deleted image IMG. Ill add a pic, and then go back and delete it. Bear with me... ws

Forget editing to add additional pictures, total pita. I use to post threads that were picture heavy, because well, a picture is worth a thousand words! Can't seem to ad 2 pics to one thread with this software. Took me 15 minutes and multiple attempts to do the post above. This move to Venforo was a giant step backwards IMO. I don't need pollng options, the garage or any of the other frills, just wanna post pics, without spending 20 minutes fighting inferior software. It would be fine if they would ad the Tapstalk plugin, but that's apparently never gonna happen. Even Craiglist allows you to post pics directly from your phone, no running off to a hosting website, uploading, resizing, copying links , then returning to complete your post. I'll be selling my stuff on Craiglist and adding the links here, if thats not a total pita. Jim

There are a couple different ways to add images with this new software. The first one is to use the "Upload a File" button on the bottom right of the screen. I believe this is now hosted on this site directly. There were two choices when doing so, Thumbnail and Full Image. Both examples below.

    IMG_3671M.JPG

The other way is to use an image hosting site like imgur. I use the BBCode and post it directly in my response. It will look like this, but with brackets. img]http://i.imgur.com/o6ZpJi1.jpg[/img
    Pic shown below.

I too like to add additional space between pics and text and Jim is right. Editing a post is a pain with the new software.

    Nope , still f'd up.....
I chose upload a file above and I was given the thumbnail and full image options. Now it's back to no options and when it uploads, it fails and I get an error message saying file too large. WT? Jim

Unfortunately, I do all my communication with my phone, as I have no PC at home and no access to one at work. This is one of the reasons I am so fond of the Tapatalk app. Allows me to post pics, set alerts for whatever I want, no nuisance email alerts . Back to square 1. Jim

Can you change a setting on your phone to take a smaller picture?

I feel for ya! In high school, all the computer wizardry passed me by; "Ill never need that crap...". Out of necessity, I became assimilated into the system and was now (then) a member. The newest rage are this GD smart phones. Case in point, step kids GF lives here her entire life, doesn't have a clue where the next town, 6 miles north is, and its on the road where she lives now. Ya oughta see Tubby slap the lap tab app tap smart thingy and cause all kinds of family chaos on facefork. I refuse to do the phone crap, ( cant see and cant type in triplex mode with 12 key pad either!) and a picture as big as your' drivers license may as well be a micro-fiche file. I wished I could expand some guys avatars here--- some blurry little pic does me NO-GOOD whatsoever...

Sorry Jim, I'm no help on this. Gotta see upper management about this, but the offer still stands, if anyone want a pic posted here, Ill do what I can; as long as I can get the gerbils going! ws

So yesterday, I ran down to the marina and hoisted the Union Jack for Memorial day. Then I had to go out and tear up the neighborhood for a bit. It don't look like it, but that was about 85 in a 45mph zone along the lake. ws
