is there a difference in the manual transmission verses the auto transmission when it comes to the starter?
Hi, As it mounts to the block should be the same as long as the years or era is the same, though pre 63 or dynaflow cranks are different, though not sure if the flywheel distance from the block is different. I do know the mounting pattern is not the same for starters, a friend put a 64 crank in a 60 401 and had to have Russ Martin get him a starter to fit that application. Pattern was not the same as a 64-66. Regards,
