As I continue to look more into the WORD, I am finding that my desire to learn as much as I can about the Scriptures continues to grow. During some searching and studying recently, I ran across this:

As I go through the different video clips, I am amazed to learn that there are so many misconceptions and misunderstandings and misquotations out there.

I hope all of you brothers find this information helpful!

The wisest thing you can do is get your image of God from God. Not that individuals can't help you but remember our image of God is flawed because we are flawed so to build our Christian foundation on human teaching without sifting every bit of it through the Bible is setting yourself up for disaster. I trusted others, spent years reading so many supposedly great preachers and teachers that I built a flawed foundation. God had to rip it all out and start over. You never want to have to go through that. My family paid a heavy price for my Christian mistakes. Too many people out there believe they have the right to judge another, correct them based on their beliefs only to cause you so much heartache. Be careful what you trust and put in your life's foundation. Thank you Jesus for giving me a much clearer insight.

Misinformation seems to be the norm these days. I can remember dad driving us all over God's creation to find a "Christmas" tree. I was probably 30 years old before I realized why he would not buy an "Xmas" tree. As I got older and began reading from independent sources who did not have anything to gain by lying to me,I learned that there were a lot of translations that lost all of their original meaning or intent over the years. There is a lot to be learned by listening to what someone has to say,not necessarily how they are saying it. Jesus would be discredited in today's society just for his hair or wardrobe. We tend to prejudge people right down to what they drive or where they live and that may be a problem for us. It is my belief that none of us are no more 10 minutes away from being the lowliest of men or the richest of kings under certain circumstances. I still think we have the basis for the best place in the world to live if men would stop translating Jesus and just listen to him.
