Picked up some line wenches to loosen the trans cooling lines from the radiator. Pulled it out along with the fan shroud, also removed the fan and fan cluch and water pump pulleys. Pulled the crank pulley to. Cleaned them all up and gave them a nice coat of paint.

How all I gotta do is give the motor a final wipe down before painting.

To bad I don't have the money just to pull the motor and have it gone though. It runs great but it would be nice to make it a little nicer.

A 2200 torque converter and a distributer recurve kit would give alittle extra and would not cost a lot.

Thanks Alex, the recurve kit is on the list. I've read Larry's power timing post and am planning to do that. The 2200 torque converter sounds like something I'd be interested in. The transmission was rebuilt 7 or 8 years ago by my brother and his friend and they installed a "shift kit" in it. I bet the car has only been driven a couple of thousand miles since then. The trans does shift very well with a nice strong feel to it.
