Looks like a great deal and a nice "gateway" car into the old car hobby. If I lived in a dry state I'd use it as a daily driver.
OK V8 Buick People: Most of these Le Sabres with 340s are pretty tired. This has been for sale for a while. $3,200 is better but unless it really runs excellent it's a $500 piece. Mitch
If you can find somewhere that you can get that nice of a 60s 2 door in clean running condition for $500, sign me up for 20 of 'em.
^^^ Yeah, cuz these things are rolling out of Detroit about a 1000 units a day. Right? $3200 is a very good price to own a piece of yesterday. If you want Concourse/400 point car, then keep walking. If you simply want a little slice of nice, you'll be hard pressed to find it for less.
At $3200 it's worth a rebuild on the motor and transmission. You can't even get a good recent used car for less than $5000 now, so this is a steal.
OK V8 Buick People: I said that if it doesn't run good it's a $500 car. If it runs great it's probably about $2,500 if the rest of it is somewhat human. Nobody is knocking down the door for a 66 Le Sabre unless it is really special. If it's worth that much why has it been for sale for so long? Why hasn't someone on this forum picked it off? Answer? The price is too high. Mitch
Answer: I have 7 cars and one would have to be parked on the street if I add another. Otherwise it'd be at my house.
I had one, great cars. The 340 in my 65 is from it.Good chance it has limited slip rear end like mine. And yes I'd buy it but have other cars I want to own over one I've already owned. Very fair price
It's been for sale for a while because it was close to a $6,000 asking price and now he has reduced it to a more reasonable level. I have half way been thinking about going to look at it since It's somewhat local
