Should I pull the trigger on this one?

I found a 65 skylark that is being parted. Guy wants $200 for the rear end, drum to drum. No idea what ratio or anything else.
Ultimately I'd like to have an early well built 8.5
I thought about picking this one up for a spare though. Is it even worth it?
I currently have a 65 Skylark with an 8.2 already so this one wouldn't be an upgrade.

If it’s not an upgrade and not what you want, why purchase it?

    I'd pass on it.
Put that money towards what you really want:D

I was just thinking about getting it as a spare. IlI' pass on it, there's always something else more pressing on this car anyways.

I've got a lot of "spares" just in case I need them. Trouble is, I haven't needed them. I've also bought parts for my `65 that I should use but probably never will. Just not enough hours in the days and the older I get the shorter the days seem to get.

You can have the peg leg 8.2 axle from my 70 for free. I feel guilty tossing it but it’s just in the way.

well if anyone wants to sell some of this dead weight I am always buying cores. Problem is ...they are always too far away and not all in the same area....lol. :)
Anyone coming to the Norwalk Ohio Buick Olds event I will pick them up there if we can agree on prices. :) Jim
