Does anyone know where Jarvis Allen is now? I fell in love with his car years ago but have only seen it a couple of times and that was years ago. I wonder if he still has it? Scott
Jarvis still has the car in North Carolina. Don't think he still brings it out. Last fall I spoke with Jarvis at the GS nats.
Jarvis was at my shop Wed, will be back this weekend to pick up some sheet metal I repaired for him, for a 70 red 455 convert, and yes he still has the gold 70, may bring it to the Nats this year
That’s a name I haven’t heard for a while. I met him in the early ‘90s; I bought a ‘70 GS that was Harvest Gold with a Gold vinyl top and Burnished Saddle interior, and his (a different color gold paint) was one of the few others built with the gold roof. Super nice guy. Patrick
He is from my area originally, Spartanburg SC. His brother had a couple GS's too, all super good fellas
It is good to know that he is doing well and still has the car. I met him a couple of times back in the 90s and thought that his gold car was gorgeous. When I owned my 70 gs convertible my wife and I went to the event that Jim put on and Jarvis was parked next to us in the car show. I think that if I could have one car it would be his. Wishful thinking I know, but I would love an opportunity to buy it should ever decide to sell.
Glad to hear Jarvis is still kickin! Super guy, I remember that bamboo cream 455 car that always sat at the end of his driveway. I had nothing else to do back then so I kept driving by till he was outside and introduced myself back in the 1980's. Cool dude : )
Want to bring this back up. After doing some reading here it seems that the color combo of Jarvis's car is really rare, I assumed it was because I have never seen another one. Does anyone know of another 455 car "stage 1 or not" in this color combo?
Maybe 10 -15?years ago. It had the I-2 forced air system with the dual motors, auto trans console buckets.
