For the "old timers" that have been around since the beginning of the BPG and of V8Buick, there was a young man named Brandon Smith, my son, who, along with my family, was involved heavily in that first BPG event at Quaker Raceway. Brandon passed away this past week at the age of 34 from a heart attack, and has a funeral service Tuesday, the 13th, at Sunset Funeral Chapel in Minneapolis. Brandon loved Buicks, and bought his 71 blue GS racecar from Gary Paine ("Thumper's" old hood), and he love wrenching, racing, and grenading his 87 Grand National! Please keep him and the family in your prayers this week. Thanks. Cole
Sorry to hear about your son. I know the pain you are going through. The lose of a son is tuff, but gets softer with time. It has been almost 13 years since I lost my son Clinton. I still think of the great times I had with him for 21 years every day. A child is a blessing from God. Praying for you and your family.
Cole, I am sorry for your loss.I would love to hear about some of the cool times you and your son shared with your buicks . Tim
