Let's see....during my younger days worked at a tranny shop, or and our shop... Auto parts specialist... Then ran my own shop. Man, those were the days had lots of Mustangs come in. Then went out onto the internet weak Amy cyber child in which my website took on 2 million unique IP addresses a week. thanks to racing simulations in my ability to smoochy the professional racers to come on board. From there became a journalist / freelance journalist and reviewed a lot of stuff out there. Went back to my engineering degree became a DOD contractor did flight simulations. Reality struck, didn't want to be stuck behind a desk and became a agricultural chemical sales regional manager. Move to New York and my career was shortly rain the mr. Tire and Monroe stores and now a big major career change I am a metro bus driver.

They just did a show that revisited that house! IIRC they put $35,000 in it after buying it for $17,000 and sold it at auction back then for $48,000! The same woman owned it until just recently because she moved to and old folks home. I think they said the thing sold for something like $300k or maybe it was more?! Anyway the houses over there went WAY up since they lost $4K on that one.
I worked in music as an editor engineer mixer producer for movies for 25 years. Won an Emmy award and a few other nominations. Now I make RO water systems for weed growers. Go figure. Lolol.
I'm A builder, been doing it full time for 20 years,my dad is to so I worked with him when I was A kid,so really A lot longer than that.
Yeah....most kids now days don't want to be in the trades(too dangerous).......but our "new" residents in this country will sure as hell take them jobs if they can....even if they have no training......you see them at Lowes and Menards all the time buying stuff to do jobs the kids won't/don't want to do....damn shame....and this is coming from a Journeyman UAW Electrician that sees it every day....... And when i say "kids".....i mean 25-35 year olds working at the brewery/restaurant that is my retirement maintenance job....... Peace WildBill
I worked 33 years for GM Fisher Body Started as a assembler loading convertable tops into Tempest /GTO bodies May 1968. July 1968 I was moved to installing wireing and hoses (vacum locks.) in the new down sized Grand Prix along with Tempest/GTO bodies. Really hated the area and just out of school kids I had to work with. Transfured to the second shift, became a Extra Man, made more per hour and covered people who were absent. Became a Final line repair man 2 years later and worked there till 2 years before they closed the plant when I was forced back to being a extra man. Laid off so drove Semi with a reefer for nearly a year when i was called back to a brand new plant. Was a Final Process Repair man for 17 years, worked on the new front wheel drive Cadillacs till they were taken to another plant, We also had the 98 Oldsmobiles till discontinued. 93 Olds Arouros, the Buick Riveria and Pontiac Bonnievilles were our products then. I retired in April 2001 after working the bugs out of the new down sized Buick LeSabres. That Lesabre lost nearly 750 pounds of wireing. Had one main wire that carried signals from swithces to computers. All tail lights went thru a small computer in the trunk. Al

Spent the last 21 years in the Rental car industry up until July of last year. Now working as a Service Advisor for a local Automotive shop. Before getting into rental car, spent several years working in Diesel mechanics.
