Well, new to me. I needed a car for my daughter and found that the Verano has great safety ratings. Picked up a 2013 for under $10K with 35,000 miles. Has some nice features (convenience group) but the most impressive thing is how it handles! Very smooth and goes through corners like it's on rails. Now if it had 300 more FT-lbs...
Very similar - "best-kept secrets in sport compacts from 2013 to 2016, in the form of the Verano Turbo. Buick put the 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder, shared with the Regal GS, in the Verano -- and they mated it to a 6-speed manual transmission. Making 250 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, this was a semi-serious driver's car cleverly disguised as a humble, entry-level luxury sedan." Still sold in China: "According to Autohome, the Verano GS — marketed as Buick Weilang GS in China — is expected to be revealed at the Guangzhou Auto Show with GM’s 169 horsepower, 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The same engine will be used in North America in the new Malibu, albeit with a six-speed automatic transmission."
