Dear V-8 Buick fans who occasionally stroll down memory lane,

Hemming's is trying to lift our spirits during these difficult circumstances that we face. Thomas A. DeMauro has gotten some help from the Automotive History Preservation Society to locate some really nice and cute automotive ads that will bring a smile to your face. Here is the article link:

If you scroll down to the second ad you'll get to enjoy this advertisement for a 1964 Buick Special:

It is certainly fun and effective advertising. Although I must confess that my 1965 Buick Special wagon is my least favorite car to wash. That long roof means there is a lot more surface area to clean. Fortunately, I choose my outings carefully so she mostly stays clean.

Further down in the article there is this advertisement for the 1979 Buick Regal with something of a similar theme:

All the ads in this article have something to enjoy. So take a moment and give yourself a smile that we all could use these days.

    Cheers, Edouard :)

I like to use a bathing towel for the wagons roof. Slipping n sliding I get the job done. And to answer the question, yes I would like a Buick, how about 3!

that is an early 70's p6 rover 3500, with the former buick engine by the way
last letter on the plate is a J, that makes it a 1970 car
if that car was new, the girl is now also 50 years older

The tri-five Pontiac Ad - just a little bit suggestive..
Have an opportunity to acquire TWO '53's - but where in the heck would one find all the trim??

It makes you wonder where they put all the trim when they took it off to prime the car.

I had the 2 litre version of that car. Super comfortable and quiet ride but a bit under powered with the smaller engine.
Always lusted after the V-8 version but never got one.

Man, that's a downer, I'd hate to see what's she's like now, fat, old and grey with a walker and all...and hopefully still not in that miniskirt...
