Can't get header gaskets delivered without a signature?? Call the gas station where supposedly I can pick up but person no speak English...said call back later. Not making it easy to buy stuff......
If you have the UPS app downloaded, you can actually remove the requirement for a signature at time of delivery in your profile preferences.
This app works great! You can sign for your package online and you can track your package in realtime and know right where the driver is while you are waiting for your delivery.
I don't know if this is an option where you live, but you can have items delivered to an Amazon locker. By me there is one in Whole Foods. When the item is delivered to the locker they send you an e-mail. You go there, let the machine scan your code a door will pop open with the item inside. For future reference because if it's in UPS hands it's too late to do this.
BQUICK - You can rest assured that UPS (or any carrier for that matter) does not want to have a package that they cannot deliver. If you live in an area that is known to have theft issues, (not stating that you do) then UPS would require a signature - otherwise, the shipper sets the need of signature or if a package can be “released”. As stated by others, the UPS app is very helpful - Incidentally, I recently had a Remflex head gasket delivered for a Pontiac, signature required.... Regards, B
Slip they left said it was going to be delivered to UPS Access Point for me to pick up and sign for. Can't reach them to know if actually there. Now this morning tracking says out for delivery...by 9pm. So can't leave the house..... Tried to change to no signature...not a option on my end.
I should add that a few months back, I ordered some Cometic head gaskets for my build from Summit. Not long after, I was notified (by the app) of the tracking number but just couldn't get it to sync with the app. It just kept saying the number was invalid. I finally called Cometic and it turns out they'd ship it but it vanished. They immediately sent another set that afternoon. About 3 weeks later, I get an inbox message on Facebook from a mutual friend of a friend. Apparently, my name was on a package sitting on her neighbor's front steps (she was grabbing their mail while they were in FL), which was 6 miles away, on the other side of town. So, the app works great - when the address is correct and matches your address. Oh, and I ended up getting those gaskets back, too.
i dont know about your driver, but i dont wait around, right now, they may not even show up...here i just leave a note on the door that says "UPS..please leave package" i tell them where to hide it, and sign it..not print..sign it, and my guy says its all they need, and they will leave it...then he signs off, and takes the note..no issues...but not sure what would happen if someone stole it off the porch..never had an issue
Well it wasn't out for delivery to me....only to UPS Access Point....so have to drive there and hope it is actually there. Called the gas station where it supposedly is but they can't seem to understand what I want.... GRRRR
Score got em….Amazon said signature required....NEVER before have I had to with Amazon...maybe due to protesting and pandemic more stolen packages....
must be..because ive never had an issue..when they leave stuff for me, they take a pic and when i track it..the pic shows up if delivered..ive been in the living room, and they are so slick and quiet i dont even know they delivered til i get the email..
