When the trunk is rotted out like that there's a lot of other issues lurking.

Stage... Car was rough.. However, had all of the correct parts. I'm more curious if it did sell on ebay..

    meteo7880 Getting expensive...

Just for some closure, yes the car did sell on Ebay. Thank you to everyone who showed interest and offered advice! The individual that purchased it did so as a (big) project with his father. I'm going to try to keep in contact with him, as I really want to see this car have another shot at life on the road. I'll try to post progress pics (with the new owner's permission) as I get them.

That is great the car went to someone doing a father and son project.

Recommend that he joins this forum. He will need the resources here to help with the restoration.

That is great news. If I had time and a bit more money to be able to have gotten my hands that deep I would have pulled the trigger. The car was definitely worth saving!!

If you'd be willing to pass my name along to them, I have an original, rust free (as nice as one could possibly want) '69 trunk floor that would be perfect for this project (it's listed in the parts for sale section). If so, I can PM you my contact info.

Yeah it sold for what it was worth so I don't know if I believe the new owner's story or just hoping to make a few grand.

Maybe both although they would've had some expenses in getting it from WI to NY too.

It's closer to me now... Which is both good AND bad.. LOL. Although The price would have to be ~ 60-80% LESS than what he's asking for it on eBay...

Max Damage I'm working on it!

It actually looks like a nice car and would be a sweet car when restored. Too many projects and wrong coast for me...

You know you want it George. I have a mint trunk floor for it sitting here.

Unfortunately someone will get it & take it apart & then sell it.

Shame but you're probably correct. Hopefully someone will take it on but there are so many projects out there and not enough ppl. It'd be a labor of love (you & I know about these:)) but is a rare piece of history.
