    Hi

anyone ever thought about/actually put some headrests in the beackseats of a 1971 GS? Would like to get a little more protection for the kids when they ride along...for now I could let them sit on the bench and the head would not reach above the edge but seems they`re growing bigger ;)

Thought about putting some benchseat ones in the back, fabricating a bolt-on bracket for putting them in place.

I had the same issue in my wagon - I used junior dragster 5 point belts to snug them in:

I did the front seat using OEM later model headrests on a 67 armrest bench - 67 seat 2.jpg

Haha, what a nice picture...yeah, I got 3 of them too, all need a (more or less) save place to ride. I did instal 3-point-belts though already.

Did you use the headrest-bracket for the 66-67 they`re selling, did you fabricate something yourself? I`m thinking about using some classic headrests, no matter the color, and dying them saddle to match the interior of my car.

I used a set of factory headrests with all the hardware from a later factory headrest bench seat. A shop did the conversion. They look better with the arm up. No wonder everyone uses the "funnel" coverings from the GS!
