The Melling shafts used to be advertised as being thicker than stock. Are the stock or replacement rocker shafts plated or hardened? Most machine shops won't be able to do more than polishing of the OD.
Guess what I ment by machine was more like a manufacturing place.......we have several in the area that actually build things.......they are all smaller family owned type business and they all seem to more than willing to help with things like this.........but maybe we are just lucky here
