Well members it is time for our Spring Meeting so get ready. Mark your calendars for April 7th from noon till whenever at the Auto Center located inside the grounds of Chappaqua Crossing (formerly Reader’s Digest) 480 Bedford Rd Chappaqua, NY 10514. Hopefully the weather should be nice enough by then that many Buicks will show up. The usual business will be discussed such as show dates, cruises & our racing events. Club treasurer, Doug Hecker will be on hand to collect dues from those that are delinquent so please come prepared! Cost will be $20 per person which includes sandwich, salad, chips, refreshments & desserts. Please RSVP by March 23rd so I can order enough food. Easiest access is to enter is off the Saw Mill Pkwy exit 33 and once over the railroad tracks turn left and enter through the rear entrance. As you go up the hill to the property turn left at the first parking lot and proceed to the end and you have reached your destination.
Just a heads up, and this is not meant to discourage anyone from attending, April 6th and 7th they are estimating 200k(!) people traveling to Vt for the eclipse on the 8th. This is predicted to be the busiest travel weekend for the region, EVER. I'd expect any of the major northern routes, especially 87, to be a nightmare. I'd plan a route that didn't involve the highways. I work for the state and we are preparing for the worst as Franklin county Vt is a near perfect spot for viewing a full block. Things are already crazy around here. Again, just a PSA.
