Anyone run water/coolant through it full time through the SPX? I have a couple junkyard sourced small Prius electric water pumps, and thinking a small heater core out in front of the radiator with the water pump running full time would be another way to pull heat out of the intake. I'm running MPFI so don't quite get the cooling benefit of gas vaporization through the carburetor.

I did years ago with the KB Cool Runner. Run it through a cool can with ice in it. Try it with alcohol and dry ice in the cool can and see some frost on the plenum. lol

Ya, we did it with cold water on the dyno, about 20 years ago with a KB Cool Runner. Got the intake plenum to 90*, did a pull.. picked up 11-12 numbers, both HP and TQ. 600 HP pump gas engine.

It works (.1 and 1.5 mph) but I found car was not consistent at the track if it sat for a while. What I wanted to do was put a temp gauge on intake so you could turn pump on/off to get same temp each run. Also have it on AFTER leaving line....say at 60 ft. I got intake too cool a few times and had a bog.

I would plumb some r34 thru it....what some nitrogen or n20 on a loop some how....two 5lbs tanks enough to last a run...transfer it from tank to tank...

I've got a full compliment of EFI tools at my disposal. Could easily set boundary conditions, plus unlikely to have a temperature related bog issue.

I'm sure with EFI no bog issue....I was running 1050 Dominator and relatively tight converter (4200)
