I pray that you are doing well. I had a thought after I finished my “short” post above.
Only chronic drinkers are addicted to alcohol. If you stop and have negative physical withdrawal symptoms you are addicted to alcohol and you have a really serious problem. If you just think about a drink in a certain situation I think you have a bad habit. Breaking habits is difficult but doable. An addiction requires professional interaction. My guess is you have a habit of drinking and you have the power to overcome it.
By the way, when I tell people I haven’t had a drink in two years they say congratulations. My almost 76 year old body says thank you.
So, hang in there you can kick this habit.

All it took was a 18 mo sentence to cure me. Funny how that worked. Staying clean once on the outs was harder. Just made up my mind to make it happen

I’ve been through three therapies. I work for myself. Have no insurance.(I know, stupid). Paid for two of them out of pocket. 30 plus grand a piece. Last one I spent an extra month…extra 30 grand. It helped me immensely. Don’t let it get to this. CALL!

Morning Peeps. Get it? It's Easter!

I don't want to share what I've been through. If some of you have experienced it, you should know how it's like fighting this.

I've made it Friday and Saturday with no hard booze. Last night the craving was hard to fight, but I fought it. Three or four times I had to say in my mind, no hard booze, no hard booze. But just pick up a little something, NO!
Now today with an extended weekend. I have off Monday.

Recently on the news they had some odd story about a weight loss drug that one side effect eliminates the feeling part in the brain that controls the desire of wanting alcohol. I found that odd and interesting at the same time.

I'll just keep going the natural way. Hoppy Easter.

You got this dude. Seems your mind is made up and thats the hardest part. In the end I totally cut ties with everyone I had associated with while living the less than desirable lifestyle and started over. These guys were all friends but if I'd stayed in contact I know they would have drug me back down .
