1972 Quarter Panel - Best Brand?

I will be needing new quarters for the 72 stage 1, at least the lower section and over the wheel well. What experience is there with the various brands (Sherman, Restoparts, etc)? I expect most (all?) are probably coming from the same dies, likely somewhere in Asia.

I would replace as little as possible. I thought Donny had the pieces. At one time I'd offered him a rear clip which had more that enough good metal to fix that car but he wound up buying just the trunk floor from someone else.

For the little bits needed, I'd probably just hack up the Sherman panels if you can't find any orig. pieces.

Thanks. Will surely be replacing the minimum, no where near the unique contours and lines of the convertible.

Dano - yes, got 2 NOS quarters with the car. But as mentioned above I don't need much and don't want to cut up those NOS quarters. One of the aftermarket quarters will be fine, just want to start with whatever brand is found to be best.

I knew it came w/NOS & agree, I wouldn't cut them up for that car although I would consider cutting up a pair of AMD quarters if the Sherman parts aren't up to snuff. Not worth cutting any corners on that car.

AMD does not seem to make quarters for these cars.

The AMD have sharper lines around the wheel well and are better than the Sherman/Tabco. I myself would locate some nice original sections they are still out there..try the yards out west

My driver side AMD full 1/4 from The Parts Place will be arriving here on Friday. I spoke with Tabco on Thursday and they have their 1/4 skins in stock. He told me that that may have some blems that you could cut apart and use for patch panels at a reduced price. The AMD full quarters are $999 plus taxes. In my case $59 tax. I was going to put a 1/4 skin onthe left side as that's what I have, 9058cd98-abfe-4bbb-b5f6-d85098c9132e.jpg but decided to go the full quarter with having much less bodywork. To me,it was a worthwhile thing. I am putting full 1/4's on both sides now.
