My Eaton Truetrac calls for a GL-5 80w90 Non-Synthetic Gear Oil with no friction modifiers.
What brands and types are you guys using in your Trutracs?

I install 85/140 conventional in all of my axle builds. 80/90 is fine too.

Do you use a specific brand?

I used the 85-140 as Brian said but when I changed all I had was the 80-90

It was the Napa 85-140 #75-211

BRANDs - I stay away from STP and Valvoline.
NEVER never buy gear oil with ADDITIVE already installed. YOU NEVER know the ratio.
Also Brand on Additive - seems Auto zones Posi X or Trans X something like that in a tooth paste tube is terrible too.'
Lucas seems pretty good even WALMART brand we have never had issues with and I even have it in the 10 sec race car. Soooo. There you go .
More for you to chew on. :)
