Looking for a nice set of 68 vent window frames with decent chrome and no pitting. I have new seals and new glass so not worried about that just need the chrome and stainless to be good. Let me know if you have anything, thanks

I have some vent windows out of various GM sedans. Do you have the numbers off of the frames? Thanks, Bob.

I have some from a 4-door 68 but don't know if those would be the same. Nice shape.

I’m not sure if they’re the same, that would be awesome if they are!

I have a few from 2 doors, will have to look to see how good they are.

Not trying to make trouble, but I happen to have driver side vent window from my 1968 GS Cal car here in my den (LOL). and it doesn't look like the one pictured and I don't see any number?

I’m pretty sure a post car would be different than a hardtop

Way different; a hardtop/convertible seals on the vent frame, whereas, a sedan (post coupe) seals on the door frame.

IMG_3714.jpeg My post car doesn’t seal on the doorframe unless I misunderstand? It has a full vent frame.

I don’t see why they would be different, although that does seem to be the case… IMG_3712.jpeg

Maybe I didn't explain it correctly. The weatherstrip on your post car goes all the way around the door and seals against the A-pillar; where, on a hardtop or convertible, the vent window frame seals against the A-pillar.

I am not sure on etiquette here as this thread was started by Mark, if he isn't interested, I see your area code is 206, so hopefully I can bring mine and compare to make sure I'm getting the right item.

So after Mark, I suppose I am inline for the drivers side V.

And…convertibles are different than coupes. Verts have raingutters built into the chrome.

I’m pretty sure you can use coupe doors on the convertible (you might get your knee wet driving in the rain), but I’m not sure about going the other way. It’s not a big difference…
(The door glass and vent window glass appear to be the same.)

You were about to have the personal experience, better to get a heads up here first! Seems like swapping vent windows might work?

Based on what you posted it may work and only you will notice.
