Yes Adam . But isn't there a problem with the contour between "A" body cars and Large Buicks ??? I remember reading something that They won't fit one or the other . Can't remember which

I don't recall...but I just realized that the mounting is different on 71-72 vs. 73 and up. The 73 has the two studs mounted on the mirror, and the 71-72 style has the bracket mounted on the door.

I have a NOS '73-up pedestal (w/the studs as Adam mentioned) if interested. Housing is the same as a manual drivers side & I probably have a nice (pit free) one of them too that could be replated.

I'll post pics of the one I have tonight. It's NOS, but there are no gaskets with it.

Yes but they’re not quite the same as mine. Being a 73, my current mirror has the mounting studs.

Thanks Fred! I have a spare gasket so I’m all good there.

Thanks for writing Dano. Would love to see some pictures of your NOS RH mirror. My drivers side mirror is a remote mirror and it’s fine so I’m not looking to replace it.

Here's pics. There is no box with this. Inside the pedestal are the numbers J2 and then 60435417

I was just indicating that if you took the NOS pedestal I have, that the mirror housing itself could come from a manual driver's side mirror.

I'll get a picture of the pedestal I have.

Hi Fred, those numbers are consistent with numbers on the bottom of the pedestal of my existing mirror so it’s definitely the one I need.

The photos are a bit blurry so I’d like to ask you if there’s any pitting on the chrome?

    Cheers,

    Glen

Hi Fred, I’m still interested in the mirror. Get back to me when you can.

    Cheers,

I'm waiting to hear back from him as well on something. I hope he's ok. I'll call him if nothing by tomorrow.

I didn't look for/take pics of the pedestal I have since it seemed Fred had the whole assembly & exactly what you needed.

Maybe he’s out of town? Perhaps he went to Carlisle or something like that?

    I hope he’s ok!

I'm fine, just missed the thread updates. I don't always look at everything. PM's don't get missed. The mirror does not have any pits. It has a couple of small manufacturing blems if you look at it real close. You have to really look hard to see them.

    Thanks Fred! Glad you’re ok

I would like to purchase the mirror so please let me know how you would like to proceed. Happy to use PayPal again if that works for you.
