What is this thing?

    I found this in a 67 skylark ashtray of a parts car I have.
    I've never seen a thing like it before. You push in and twist to open it up to the bulb in the second picture.

    Anybody know what this might be for?

    Looks like an old push on - push off switch with a light to tell you it’s on.

    Looks similar to either the park brake warning light or four way flasher indicator light on a 66 and 67 Ford Galaxie.

    OK, I reckon it is not something for a skylark, so it goes in the "lord only knows bucket".

    Parking brake light. 57-58 Buicks are set up very similarly.
