Spring, did I miss something when assembling oil pump?

    tubecatgs Finally a 4 speed......

    So I had assembled my 455 Timing cover with new TA guts such as pressure regulator, booster plate and pump housing. I found this spring next to my bag of bolts and shims. Does this go in the pump somewhere.....? Ugh I can't recall what else I assembled on this particular work bench recently....

    No. I have no clue where that came from. Did you put the check valve pressure relief valve with the spring in the adjuster?

    Not yet. Even though I said I did haha. Woops. I didn't install the pressure regulator yet but do see the spring for that but thanks.

    Make sure the check valve moves freely before you tighten it up the spring an adjuster. If it gets stuck, you’re gonna have an issue with oil pressure.

    That spring does not go anywhere in the pump.
