I think it’ll be extremely hard to find barn doors, only see them on Cargo trailers, not car haulers, I think you’ll be better served to find one with the ramp and remove it and build your own doors. Next problem will be heavy axels, Cargos usually have 3500 lbs. But the good news for all this is a used trailer say 20years old or more will allow you to buy a much better quality trailer for a lot less money than these new ones, and then you can modify it to fit your needs and not have $15,000 in to it.

I've seen a few that would work & had 7200 lb. axles. Prob. were 96" wide instead of 102" & were only 20'. I'll have to give on some of my wish list for sure but will find one that'll work!

At one point I tried to work a deal on your old trailer when Sam was selling the truck/trailer/car as a package. Another guy wanted the car & I was going to get the truck/trailer & sell the truck but he couldn't work out the deal w/Sam.

Yes that was a great trailer and a fair price, I sold it just last year to a good friend of mine for the same money.

All my trailers have a winch, it’s too easy not too have one. I have used mine several times when **** breaks and glad I had one!

Helped a neighbor drag a new to him truck(89 chebby 3/4 ton) home yesterday using my open Sloan kwik load trailer.. I got a 8000 lb winch on the front. Good thing too as he didnt tell me the truck was out in the woods on flat tires in the sugar sand. Once the truck was on the trailer my Ford couldn't get enough traction to pull the bed back up onto the wheels. Had to use a jack to lift the back of the trailer to ride height, place 2 round logs under the rear and then pull fwd. PITA but worked like a charm.

For those not familiar with how it works

My 16" is just for the Model T. I have a front "stop" that extends across the floor where I want the T's front wheels to end up. I also have plates on the floor exactly where I want the tie-down straps. The T is tall enough that getting in and out is a non-issue. The front right door is so that I can access the space in front of the car without being a gymnast. I wouldn't change a thing.

Oh yea pricey, everything is an option on trailers. If I had everything I wanted on one it would be $30-40k. That’s why I’m happy with just $15k, I would rather spend money on cars than a fancy trailer that sits 95% of the time.

Has anyone epoxied the floor in their trailer?
