I just saw on FB that Korrie passed away yesterday. I never met him but enjoyed his posts and he seemed like a cool guy. Here is what his daughter wrote on the Facebook post: We’re quite certain he’s in the drivers seat of a Buick GS, burning out and ready to shatter the 1/4 mile record in heaven. One thing we know for sure is that the world was a better place with him in it but at last he is at peace. We love you always Korrie, Dad, Opa RIP Korrie.
I was super shocked...About as bad as when I heard Brad passed.. Korrie was someone I called a friend. We met him years ago at the NE chapter event at Englishtown.. He had an unfortunate incident leaning against the fire alarm at our motel.. We laughed about that for a long time..
Got to be friends with Korrie and Carol and they were both very nice people. Bought 5 1970 super rare, almost NOS 15x7 "Code 7.0" wheels (predecessors for a few months of the WG's) from Korrie & Carol last year. So sorry for the loss Carol and will remember you both everytime I wipe them down. Korrie was a well known Buick enthusiast for many decades.
Ahh man Rest in peace Listening to those oldies but goodies in the good lords paradise Long live the doo wop jams Godspeed
This is sad news. Korrie was very helpful to me wayyy back when I would search for part numbers. He'd always email right back with an answer. RIP Mr. Dykstra.
...here on V8, we shared our love of doo-wop by posting favorites from our respective playlists. Keep looking for that echo, Korrie...
