Good morning excited people anticipating this year's GS Nationals. Fernando, AKA Fernando, got a hold of me a couple of weeks ago and asked if we were still doing our chili cook off. I'd been sooo busy I forgot to start a thread about it. Of course I told Fernando, heck ya! So Fernando is bringing a pot of chili, I'll make a pot of chili, and Rich, AKA FLGS400, is supplying a bunch of hotdogs. If someone would like to get some hotdog buns, there's a Dollar General very close to the campground / dragstrip. We'd probably need 6 packs. We could also use some chips or other easy sides. So... chili party Friday evening at pavilion #1 in the campground. (The closest pavilion to the track.) If you're camping come over for sure. If you're not a camper just tell the girl at the gate you're going to John Carroll's camp site for a BBQ. I'll let them know.
John, I plan to get to the track on Friday (flying in this year), and would be more than happy to provide some easy sides. What is your guesstimate on attendees?
Dang, so much knowledge, thank you Michael! And so many questions. "So, are you going to camp in flooded land? Well Jeremy, absolutely! After "Waterboy" my middle name is "Swamp Rat."
Minor flooding. That barren river drainage canal will empty it back out. I will bring my rubber boots though.
72 goat herder... Thank you! I'm going to say we had at least 25 people. FRED... what was your count. I can't remember. LMAO!
What night is the Chili Cookoff? (It’s probably in the message but I guess I have CSS-Can’t See Sh1t). Patrick
I like Chili, but cooking anything is not on my list of fun things to do. The only reason (and I do mean only reason) that I wouldn't mind being U S President, is that the job comes with a chef.
