I didn't know Luis, but 71 is too young for serious health issues.

Frank (@ctauto), also a NE guy, was only 68 w/no known issues & didn't even take any prescription meds when he passed away last fall. Was fine literally hours befoe dropping dead. Sometimes you just don't know. Arguably the best way to go.

Didn't know Luis, but sorry to hear.

Max Damage I'm working on it!

    RIP Luis.

I have a young fiend who I teach glass blowing with (50?). He had double bypass surgery last Monday. Shocking. But hopefully he will survive and recover. One never knows.

Don't know what Luis passed from, but he did 2 tours in Viet Nam. There's a lot of us that have some medical issues as a result. It may have contributed to his passing.

    Yes we are!!
Doesn’t matter if you appear or feel healthy, it can happen.
I was 40 when I had a stroke, wife found me on the bathroom floor, I got up to go pee, and BAM, my lights went out, I saw colored squares and rectangles, woke up in the hospital, they used Narcan to wake me up, they said I should have died, blood clot traveled from my leg, thru a hole in my heart (from birth) and up to the base of my brain, only affected my eyesight a bit.
Then at 44 diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma (blood cancer)
Had EVERY orifice probed, then 6 months of chemo.
    You NEVER know!
FORTUNATELY after my stroke my doctor was doing a 6 month check up, and he noticed my bloodwork was wonky, that’s when he sent me to an Oncologist.
People don’t like doctors, but without them AND nurses, I’d be a goner!

RIP Luis Soto, caretaker of a bunch of cool Buicks like a 63 Wildcat 4-door 4-speed black/red bucket seat car, a Red Clamshell woody(iirc) wagon and a 69 GS 350.
There were more, these are the ones I remember. Very sad to lose a dedicated Buick man.

Luis was a good friend to many in the NY area. He was in Hospitals and rehabs since just before Thanksgiving.
Tonight is his wake. He will be missed very much. He was a friend and a wonderful person with a really big heart. I stored my Buick BSA/FAST car and my AMG GTs at his storage over the winters.
Rest in Peace, brother. May your memory forever be a blessing.

    Doing ok thanks!
Just a heads up to “healthy” people that think they don’t “need” check ups.
