My gut says it is in fact legit,..and based on what all it needs priced where it should be,...unlike all these old cars usually aren't

If it has the factory dual quads, intake, inkage and air cleaner on it that alone is almost worth the asking price for the whole car. My dad has had his '64 Riv with 425 and dual quads since I was a kid although his was originally a single carb he converted it with the dual quad set up from a '65. The '65 he got the parts from was an Electra 225 "C". I've only seen a few. It was a 4 door sedan with dual exhaust and factory dual quads and the aluminum valve covers. I wanted him to restore it but he ended pulling the drivetrain and junking the body. That was over 30 years ago.

  4. That dual quad setup is worth more than the asking price of the entire car.

in addition to dual quad stuff, steering wheel is worth good money. May even have trumpet horns, also worth bucks. Go get it!

I thought about buying it as well. I think you will basically be getting the dual quad set up, the car is pretty much shot. Even the front edge of the hood is rusted clear through. Would it have a switch pitch tranny in a 64 Riv?
    Thanks

  7. no switch pitch in 64. it has an oddball th400 with only two forward gears on the selector. it still has L1 L2 and drive in the transmission but it's slightly different than 65 and later versions
