Wow! A true barn find, and what a find it is. Custom interior, buckets, ironing board console and a 4sp. Looks like it it's not in too bad of shape.
Looks dark blue too. Did anyone notice it was up on wood blocks that they dragged it off of onto flat tires? C'MON! Theres one pic that shows some grass under the car with some ribbed black rubber stuff; where on the car is that from? Gonna have Pat facefork the sale when she gets home in 2 hours from Missouri. Maybe a road trip Sunday??? ws
...and,dear, with the proceeds of sale from the dorf TBird, the out of pocket for a 65 4speed Wildcat may be little or nuthin'!?
I was going to say "Go for it Bill, but be warned, it's going to go high, there's no free rides on this thing." The fact that it's going at a sale and has a reserve tells me they'll want the moon for this, As for the hole, I think it was in the trunk, that looks like the usual Wildcat trunk rust, right at the last body-mount behind the rear wheel well. Wish I had the space and the spare cash, this car would be an absolute hoot to make into a "sleeper" with poverty caps and a nicely tricked out Nail...Get a nice fedora and a pipe and blow the snot outta some kid and their Rustang...
Less than 30 minutes away for me if anyone is truly interested. I am back from vacation and have the rest of the week free. May be fun to go and find out about this one. Mark
My ex was born and raised in Mt. Vernon. Folks had a farm west of town just north of the Lincoln Highway and south of the inter-urban train tracks'at Bertram and Irish roads. Last name was Dolezal. Hmmm Pat's gonna be watching it for me. The guys moving it sure didnt show it any respect! I'd trade the B-turd in a New York second for that guy! The little rust doesnt scare me but I couldnt figure out what that ribbed rubber thing is ??? ws
Are you talking about the pic of the trunk rust? The ribbed rubber thing is the trunk floor I think . There is sandy colored dirt in the grooves.
I am not a full size enthusiast necessarily but how cool would a dark blue stripper 4 speed Wildcat be? I hope someone on the board buys this.
Bill I live in the Mt Vernon/Lisbon area out by the golf course Yep, I have heard the Dolezal name before, as my brother in law farms just south of Mt Vernon, and my good friends family farms just north of town on hiway 1, as you know, it's a small community here. I am probably going over Friday to look at it for another friend
