12 bolt housing 10 bolt ring gear

i have one of those oddball rearends in my 72 parts car can this housing be used with 12 bolt carrier and axles.

I have the same rear end and have been told that it can't be used with anything like that... and to make matters worse, there is very little parts around for it.

 

That is an olds rear end. And parts are very hard to find you are correct.

 

I also have a 68 442 and have built a few Olds 12 bolts. Parts are available if you know where to look. Try Supercars Unlimited in Oregon as a starting point.
