I'm looking at a nice set of 5 14"x6" rally rims for my 73 Century. According to one application chart on the forum, wheels marked 810 with application WJ will fit disc brakes. According to the seller, the rims are stamped 14/6 JK 810C. Can someone tell me if these will fit disc brakes or not, as some 810 rims don't. Thanks.

WJ wheels will clear 73 disc brakes. JK/JJ is code for the tire bead configuration, NOT a wheel code. The only code you need to look at is on the outer lip on the rear of the wheel.

Thanks for the response. The numbers I posted were from the vendor, I have not seen the rims directly. I realized later that the JK referred to bead. I do know that 810 is a wheel number used in the late sixties and early seventies, and that there was a mid-year change around 69? that allowed 810 rims to be fitted to disc brake cars. I don't know if the letter C after the number 810 is significant. Rims marked 810 seem to be fairly common.

Unfortunately, the date code gives day and month, but not year of manufacture. I assume the newer calipers are smaller than the early multi piston calipers, but not certain if that means earlier rims will clear. The info I have came from a chart posted on the forum, but there has been some controversy over the accuracy of some parts of that chart.
