It says Roadmaster in the grille. Can it be a Skylark and a Roadmaster? My least favorite tail lights https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/...5db&esid=73bb09cb-f041-ea11-8241-000c2971a03a Can't download pics
Skylark was a model within the Roadmaster line in '53 (Series 4700). Not sure if the emblem is correct or not, but without question; the dropped beltline ID's it as a Skylark (among other features). Being supercharged certainly is interesting.
Thanks for the info. I had always thought of Roadmasters as the big end of the Buick family. So I guess a Skylark was a subcategory of Roadmasters .That supercharger can't be factory I would imagine, but does look like a really cool era correct add on.
Cadillac did build a one-off '53 Eldorado that was supercharged (with external pipes ala Duesenberg), but I never heard of a factory SC Skylark. The Eldo exists in show condition, you should be able to find it easily online. Here's another stunning Skylark, and it's also wearing 'Roadmaster' emblems front AND rear, but 'Skylark' ones on the sides, wheels, & steering wheel. I guess that's the way Buick did it in '53. https://sergesautosales.com/2020/01/17/1953-buick-skylark-convertible-for-sale/
I love these cars in red, but this green isn't doing it for me. I'd love to see how that Nail performs with that supercharger though; that car was no slouch in it's day, that blower would make it a screamer...
