That's what we would have called a Lead Sled.

"1958 Buick Special 2 door hardtop with continental kit. $25,000 OBO. located in Sault Ste Marie."
I lived a year in Sault Ste Marie and it froze my brain for another 5 years...
Everything that I despise: fender skirts and continental kit!

    gscalifornia Small blocks rule!!

It appears to be missing the spark plugs in the the tailpipes though, it's not a flamethrower!

I like it except for the conti kit and not a fan of squiggles either
I think you would need the skirts if you delete the flash
I would loose the side pipes or the tail pipes, have 1 or the other

Ugh...I can just about see the calibre of individual who'd drive this...a number of bad, overweight, IQ-of-a-houseplant-middle-aged stereotypes come to mind, idiots who really believe that this was what the 50s were all about 'cuz they believed their daddy who was a liar and a story teller. The poor thing has "Teen Angel" on its a$$...there's something not right about that either.

I could possibly live with the skirts, ditch the side pipes (or hook them up and ditch the rear pipes), continental kit's gotta go.

Why? Because everyone has their own idea of what's "COOL" Different strokes for different folks.

I remember seeing that trend show up on ‘57 Chevies-skirts, continental kits, spotlights, twin antennas, fuzzy dice, etc. It really ruins the style of the car, especially skirts on a car designed without them.

Old school lead sled, not a fan but to each his own. Not worth making any low class insults over.
