Hmmmmm..... I know that's not it, but it sure looks familiar ;). What's the record for a stock bubbletop Buick? 80k-ish? What about a LeSabre? 30k?

I am a purist, and I prefer the stock car. However, I'm big enough to realize that may not be what someone is after, but that doesn't mean one is better than the other, it's all just differeing personal tastes, which is what makes this hobby interesting.
What can I say? Restomods went nuts in the prices this year. Not my cup of tea, but so what? If someone wants to pay that kind of money for a car, who am I to argue. Good for the guy who sold it, and time will tell if the buyer will ever get it back. Just remember, in the world of collectibles, it's only worth something if you can find the one idiot who'll pay for it, otherwise, it's worthless, and that goes for everything, not just Buicks.

I don't quite understand what you're asking, but it sold at auction for $160,600 as pictured.

Would like to see it Buick powered. As an LS, not so exciting (to me anyway).

Yes, I know it brought that much, they wouldn't post it as sold if it hadn't. There's kind of an inside joke there between Roy (red67wildcat) and myself that is confusing you :) No big deal.

Wow, that is a stunning, tasteful Pro build on a platform few people would have the guts to put that kind of money into. Even at a sale price of 160 K, I don’t think anyone was making any big money on that machine......

I’ve seen a lot of customs bring more money than stockers, it’s all in what the buyer likes.
