OK V-8 Buick People: It looks nice. What is ominous though? First, any car presentation in the rain. The car is in Elk Grove (outside Sacramento) and the listing is Orange County. It seems inviting compared to every other First-Gen Riviera on the E bay and Craig's List as they're 25K and up. It's still a ton for this car. The engine on a 63 Riv is silver. If it's a 65, 65 or 66 engine there 's an EXCELLENT chance there was some Frankensteining going on with the transplant.

As always....drive it, look at it up close and personal and get it up in the air. Make DOUBLE sure this is not a mess with the wrong transplant. Mitch

A nice well worn example at a price that's reasonably attractive...like Mitch said, gotta go look at it, this is definitely one you don't buy unseen.

63 rivs did have an optional 425 (2601 of the 40,000 made). All 425s in the 1963 Riviera left the factory silver with a red air cleaner. This engine was either pulled and repainted green or is not a numbers matching ordeal.

If it's a transplant, then that just make the negotiation all that much more important. It would knock a couple of K off the price.

This would be beautiful done, I think the price is high considering it really needs everything to bring it back. You start looking close and the $$$$ really start adding up. Still looks like a great platform to start with, if the engine is not original then that makes it much less attractive

This car is very nicely optioned and a desireable color combo. If it is an original 425 car that could be a deal maker. The twilight sentinel option is not often seen and availability was cancelled during the model year when Buick revised the under dash harness. Great potential here, and at an attractive price, even though it obviously needs significant attention.
