" Good for parts"? what parts would that be? The dome light? https://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/cto/d/middletown-1964-buick-riviera/6984463457.html ouch! and it dropped a valve! have for sale a 1964 Buick Riviera. Has a 425 Nailhead in it. These cars are very hard to come by. I bought this car last year sight unseen and as always was not the best idea. The car is VERY rusty. Came from CT. The rear floors are pretty much gone, front floors not far behind. The trunk looks like the pan is pretty rotted too, have not gotten into the trunk yet as there was no key for it when I purchased it. Its a Black on Beige car. All trim is present and on the vehicle. The engine however is seized, I boroscoped the cylinders and found the 1st cylinder on the drivers bank has a broken valve in there, the engine probably is not usable. Came with the ORIGINAL CT title from 1964, its technically a 3 owner car with me being the 3rd owner. I just do not have the time nor money to complete a project like this. Would probably be best used for parts for a good car or if your a good fabricator could possibly be road worthy again. Bring some cash and a trailer and lets get this thing a new home. Will come with a NY bill of sale and the original CT title. Also will include some factory service manuals for it, a carb rebuild kit, and any other literature for the car I can scrounge up. Call or text for more info/questions. Available to show the car most days after 6 or weekends.
always make me kind of sad. I picture someone driving it off the lot all smiles and then it goes to hell. Granted old car but
OK V-8 Buick People: Although the money is off, as this needs to be a $500 car, there are tons of excellent parts remaining .. Mitch
What parts??? As they say at the shipyards in eastern Canada. "That one is rusted from appetite to arsehole"
There isn't much more to add to this; I wonder how the current owner explained this to his wife when it showed up leaving a bit to be desired.
I feel bad for the guy. He clearly got screwed by whoever sold it to him. I'm sure that's what he paid for it, maybe a little more. This is a textbook example of why I wont buy a car off the internet, without seeing it in person.
