    Good Evening All,

Looking for suggestions on upgrading the a/c on my 64 Riviera....do not want to "re-do" the old system, modernizing and upgrading is what I have in mind...any and all suggestions appreciated. Would rather spend on new equipment than labor hours fixing and replacing parts on current original system.

    Regards,

I have been researching and even joined the Riviera Owners Association but 0-68? Here? On my own on this one it seems, lol. Thanks for looking.

I sort of think that not many people venture to this forum. I have little knowledge of AC systems, save for the Pro 6 Ten compressor being a bolt in replacement for the original.

As part of your modernizing, will you convert to R-134 or similar refrigerant? I've read that R-134 is on its way out, while R-12 has dropped in price lately.

I put vintage air in my 64 Riv. Fits in nicely, still looks mainly stock. You can use the same mounting bracket as the A6 and it cleans up under the hood quite nicely.
I have a list of the parts and an installation thread on anther forum if you want sa link.

It works well, uses R 134 and cost about $ 2500.
