    Hi Guys,

some of you asked for more informations about my 1965 Wildcat. Going to show all steps from the last year ownership of the car and what i plan and do in future to it.
I bought the car in southern germany from forum member Wild Kat (Johnny). He owns more than one of those cars and there are a few more down there. I think the black 65 fourspeed is going to thier place also. Totally Wildcat fanatics down there. First pics from my visit to buy the car and bring it home to the north. It was a real long drive and we made it home deep in the night. A lot of traffic jams because of accidents on the Autobahn.

First at Johnnys place in the woods

What i know so far about the history is that the car was in first ownership from 65-99 by a women named Emma LaPalm. Emma died in 99 and what happend to the car till 2007 or 2008 is unknown. Then it was for sale up on ebay and was bought from a guy in denmark. There were several (2-3) owners and then Johnny bought the car and brought it down to southern germany. He had it for a year i guess. Maybe someone from the forum knows something about the history between 1999 and 2008.

Here are a couple of more pics from the last summer doing the first touches to it. I will update what i have done since then and surely what i will do in the next or further future.

The door pin above is from an Opel Kadett because the original pins were broken. I have a couple of other old cars and the opel pins do the trick for now. I already bought new chrome pins from rockauto.

I made a temporary dash lid since the original was burnt from the sun. It's gone now. Will show pics from the status quo later.

Good for now. I'am working as an engineer at the university of Bremen and have to sit at the computer all day long. Maybe more of the past progress tomorrow. Big plans for the future for sure.

Is you look closely on the following pic u can spot the og color. Would love to have it back on the car. So the plan is to sand the yellow down if it's possible.

Last pic is my 36th birthday right after driving the cat home from the south. Right behind is the Caprice Coup of a good friend. Cars were parked at the parents place in Minden. My hometown.

Someone asks about the us car scene over here and i promised to post up some pics from the latest show i visited. The show was in my old hometown round 70 miles south from Bremen. It's a smaller town, 80-90 thousand people live there. But there is a shop called the classic car ranch. The guys do import us cars and make them road legal in germany. So the region is fully packed with american classics. But it's only one side of the scene over here. On the other side is a steady growing old style and hot rod scene. But more on that later. I will post pics from the first dirt track race this year in the next days.

I surfed around buicks.net lately and found out that the only green color in 1965 is "Verde Green Poly" with code "J". So i guess that's the original color of my Wildcat. The car is to far away to just have a look on the numbers. Does someone have a picture of a 1965 wildcat coup in that specific color? Wonder how my cat would look like.

    Thank you Ted! Beautyful car!!!

Ahhh, didn't see the sea foam green in the list. Looks more like the color on my a-pillars. What a great color. I wish i could bring my cat back to og color. Is sea foam a metallic/flakes color?

What do you guys think it is? Maybe i have the chance to have a look on the numbers this weekend but i have to visit a wedding tomorrow. Sadly no shop time.

Thanks again, Ted. I will have a look on the color code next weekend. Will drive the cat to party at a friends house with classic cars in the garden.

Look what showed up from china. Love it!

The big "special" key is for my broken trunk lock. I have to figure out how to fix that since i already have a spare for it.

I totally forgot to check the color number. But i have a few pics from the last weekend. Very cool location at a friends house on the country side. He mounted a bath tub in his garden with the seight on his horses. A few friends brought thier cars with them. The black 4dr limo is an Opel Diplomat with SBC 327 cui V8. German muscle ;) The black Volvo Amazon is my dads car.
You can spot my new saddled dash lid and the left arm rest i redid myself. Muddy terrain over there as you can see.

I have a short question. The metal under my battery tray is very rotten. Not even where the battery stands on, under it where the inner fender goes into the inner front metal. Are there any replacemnt parts for that area on the market?
In general, where to buy replacement metal for my 1965 Wildcat?

very little is made for them just basically what crosses over with a impala. you will have to hand fabricate and patch most things.

the gray car that looks like a nova what is that? also what is the black square headlight car?

The shiney grey and black are Opel Diplomat. Grey one with a straight six and black one with a 327er Corvette small block. The flat black car is a Opel Commodore GS/E Coup with a straight six. As i mentioned, german muscle.

Is the inner front and inner fenders available for Impalas? WTB?
